      Interview

Honestly one of the quickest and most efficient processes. There aren’t a ton of positive interview experiences on here but I know the old person who did recruiting isn’t with the company anymore. Either way, they are rightfully selective with their process in order to build a strong team. The community here is what makes this place so special. I did two interviews and then got an offer. The first interview was about an hour and a half where I met with two different people. Both asked a variety of questions to get to know me and my experiences. The second interview was a lot longer. You start out by doing an assessment - which is super common for a lot of job. You probably could’ve done it at home beforehand but the last part is part needs to be in person. Then I met with 2 managers and they asked a few questions. I then shadowed someone to see more about what kind of work I would be doing - they want to make sure this is the right job for you and you know what you’ll be doing rather than being surprised day one. I really appreciated this. After my last interview I got a job offer. I asked for a slightly higher salary and they were able to give me what I asked for. This is a great job for anyone looking for a change in career (like me!) or right out of college. They do a ton of training and there is lots of support from the president, managers and from your team. It’s honestly a really positive work environment and I could not be happier here.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at BluShark Digital (Washington, DC) in Oct 2019

      Interview

The process was going well for me - I did a skype interview and then a writing assignment/skype interview. Afterwards they told me that the last step was to talk with the President for a 10 min phone call. I was communicating with the President and trying to find a time that worked for both of us, but we both had limited time that day, so he told me to contact him the next day. I attempted to contact him the next day and several days after, however, received no response. I emailed the HR contact that I had been communicating with and also got no response. Very unprofessional to ghost me, especially after I was told that I basically had the job.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at BluShark Digital (Washington, DC) in Mar 2019

      Interview

Everything about this company is just fishy. I went to my university's career fair and talked to the recruiter at their booth. At a pretty good conversation and handed him my resume. A week later I got a phone call saying they wanted me to come in for an interview... and this is where the story begins. On the phone, I told the recruiter my availability and we agreed on a time. He told me had to confirm that the time would work and that he would send over an email detailing time, location and who I would be interviewing with. This never happened. I normally would have just relied on the phone call but he made it seem like this email had important info so I was concerned when I never received. I emailed and left him a voice mail, no response. I thought this was really weird and extremely unprofessional but I went to the interview any and hoped that I had the correct time and address. When I walked into the building there were four unmarked doors and I had to guess which one was the company. I guess correct and found myself in an empty waiting room with no one in it.. I looked around for a second but there was no one to be found so I sat down on a couch and waited for someone to come in. After a few minutes, someone came in a greeted me. They were very friendly and escorted me to the room I would be interviewing in. I then sat in that room for 30 minutes waiting for the person who was supposed to interview me to come in. When he finally did, he didn't even introduce himself, we just shook hands and started talking. The interview lasted literally 10 minutes and every single question was about my classes "What classes are you in now?" "What is your favorite class you've ever taken?" etc. This was personally frustrating to me because I (not to brag) had four great internship experiences that I didn't have a chance to discuss. He had my resume in his hand and clearly only looked at the education section. He then talked about the position. When I tried to ask questions he didn't directly answer them. He then said "I'm gonna go see if you were supposed to interview with anyone else" and left the room, never to be seen again. I waited in that room for another 20 minutes when the original recruiter I met at the career fair came in. We had about five minutes of small talk and he told me that he would reach out to set up a second round interview. I left and never heard from him again. A total waste of time. At least when I left it was lunch time and they are next to Shake Shack, literally the only positive. I advise any college senior stay far away from this company. It oozes with unprofessionalism and just everything about it seems off. Don't believe the clearly fake reviews (notice they were all posted the same week?) spend your time applying to legit companies.
