I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Birdeye
Interview
I was recruited through an external recruiter. The experience felt unprofessional. I was almost solely communicated with via late night text messages and was asked for copies of my past paycheck (illegal in California and a handful of other states). There was a lot of miscommunication and an offer was sent to me via an automated email and no follow up from hiring manager.
I applied online. I interviewed at Birdeye in Sep 2024
Interview
Unprofessional - I had time scheduled (who reached out to me first) with a recruiter who just did not call me at the scheduled time. I sent a message understanding that something may have come up and a time to reschedule. Didn't even bother to respond to that either. People prep for these meeting and take time to do research so it feels like there is just no regard to people's time and energy.
Screening call with recruiter, then call with hiring manager. Laid back people and an emphasis on culture. The last step was to do a panel interview with leadership, but it wasn’t a good fit for me at the time

Question 1
Talk me through a time that you learned from failure?

Interview
I applied online for the Upmarket Account Executive role and received an invitation to a first screening interview. First, the recruiter missed the interview and I had to contact him to see if he was still willing to have this conversation. So, we planned another first call.
He mentioned he was going to give me some feedback a few days later but I never heard back.
Thus, I emailed this person directly to know if there was any feedback but my email was completely ignored. What a lack of professionalism, take people's time they will never get back only to ghost them!!
