      Developer Interview

      Aug 4, 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Diego, CA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at BVA (San Diego, CA) in Feb 2016

      Interview

Showed up to the office for an in person interview with high hopes and a positive attitude after having two phone interviews and taking an assessment test. Interviewer did not seem very happy and kind of brought the mood down. It seemed like he was forced to conduct the interview and seemed a little full of himself to be honest. The interview consisted of various questions that seemed to be put together by other employees that just grabbed random questions off the internet. Some of the questions seemed like trick questions, the interviewer did not even know the answers to a few of them. Some of the answers were even outdated answers that are not even supported by current browsers anymore. Overall, negative experience. The interview was not that difficult, just had some tricky questions. I left knowing I probably wouldn't get the job, which I didn't, but after what I had just experienced, I wasn't too bummed out about it.
