A 10-minute phone interview with HR was the first step in determining whether I was the best applicant for the position. I received an invitation to the technical interview round and a meeting with the recruiting manager within 4 weeks of it being confirmed. Later, I saw that they weren't responding to me within the anticipated time frame! When I contacted them, they said they couldn't accept me since I needed an employer to sponsor for my VISA, if I was eventually chosen for a full-time position.
