TLDR; This is the kind of workplace that will take advantage of you being in an entry level job and grind you to your bones with no benefits.
3 round of interview about half a year ago and I am writing my interview now because there were so many red flags. Background about me is that I was a year out from college with experience in supply chain but passion in corporate DEI. A recruiter reached out to me to ask if I would be either interested in Sales Representative or Account Executive. This was the initial phone intake, and the recruiter told me starting salary in Chicago was firm (either mid or high 40s) with cash bonus for the Account Exec position and commission for Sales. I went on to interview with another recruiter who encouraged me that I could transfer into another department, such as HR or Operations since I love to improve staff and company DEI initiative, and then the interview with manager. The manager was very disinterested in my honest answer about seeing a future within the company outside of dealing with clients. It was also really awkward when the manager told me the Account Exec doesn’t make any bonuses or commissions. Their hours are M-F start (but not limited to) either 8 or 7am and end at 5pm, and in office. They have a thorough training program so you don’t need to have any previous experience. It wasn’t up until this point I was able to get the actual facts about this position because the recruiters knew absolutely nothing and we’re giving me false information. The manager also had to take a call in the middle of our interview since she had a portfolio of clients as well, which gave me a sense that the boundaries are very thin when she could not focus for a mere 30 minutes. Also, employees work in an open space, no cubicles, just one long desk with plastic dividers between seats. At this point, it was very obvious I was not interested in the position anymore. Of all the people I spoke to, all of them avoided my question about turnover rate. The last interview, which I did not get which would have be in person.
My impression through my interview process is that they have no respect or interest in the well-being of the applicants, so I doubt they do for their staff. They are highly disorganized, have a lengthy hiring process for absolutely no reason since the recruiters don’t know anything about the role they’re recruiting for and giving out misinformation, avoid the hard asking questions and in time of covid where they should embrace hybrid possibilities, they were firm on being in person and firm on a below average salary.
Unless you’re willing to accept the conditions I’ve just listed, or you are desperate, there are so many job opportunities out there who will treat you well and compensate you accordingly— just know that Arrive Logistic is not one of them.
