The first interview is a group interview where several managers describe the work environment, and the salary structure. This is totally deceptive, especially since you are not even going to "be an employee," but an independent contractor. In the second interview, obtaining a Life license, and salary scales were discussed. I was told I would receive a base-pay plus commission, along with paid training. This was totally untrue. There is no base-pay and commission pay is often held-up by red-tape, or putting policies into trial. On the third interview, I paid $199 for a Life training course, and was reassured that I would receive paid training and a base-pay. After passing the licensing test, I was instructed to come to the office to sign my contract, 2 days before beginning training. After reviewing my 40 plus page contract, I discovered that I was not going to be an employee at all, but rather an independent contractor.
