      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at American Express (Salt Lake City, UT) in Feb 2012

      Interview

Applied thru the college career website. Got a phone interview. Started by them explaining a little about the position, then questions started to get more behavioral. Expects common questions as "guide me through your resume", "When did you interact in a group with someone you didnt like, how did you handle"? "explain how you improved a process". Etc. Interview last about 30 minutes.

      Interview

Every interview is a chance to learn something new. We spent time navigating the hurdles of operations, and it was interesting to hear how they prioritize their workflow. A big thanks to Jen for the candid exchange!

      Operations Manager Interview

      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at American Express

      Interview

A recruiter reached out saying that this was a good fit. There was the standard 30-minute chat about the position. He sent a link to fill out their online application, which the manager reviews and supposedly reaches back. After that point, the recruiter fell off the face of the earth with no word from them for two months, despite emailing the recruiter after a month. I finally got a dreaded email when I already forgot that I even applied. Overall, very unprofessional and disorganized.
