      Procurement Operations Manager Interview

      Nov 30, 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Perth, Western Australia
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Alcoa (Perth, Western Australia) in Nov 2020

      Interview

Applied online as per normal. After receiving a call, I was advised that I would interview with the Hiring Manager, HR and another Lead Team member. HR provided great guidance prior to the interview which is a testament to their desire to see you succeed. The interview was okay, not overly technical and the panel was well prepared. The interview consisted of an introduction, overview of the role, followed up by standard interview questions. I was fortunate to progress to psychometric testing followed by reference checks. After about 2.5 weeks of silence I was advised via email that I was not successful. HR did commit to providing feedback via a follow up call, which I appreciate, however the scheduled phone call did not occur, and unfortunately at the time of writing this review, still has not occurred as promised, which is disappointing. Whilst the front end interview process was well done, and the interview itself was pleasant, the post interview process has left a lot to be desired, and in my professional opinion, needs some improvement. I do believe that candidates that progress to an advanced stage in the interview process deserve some feedback to help them improve and give them the best chance of succeeding in the future. Given last impressions are what remains front of mind, I would respectfully suggest Alcoa review this process to ensure feedback is provided, and in a timely manner.
