I must say that this is an extremely disappointing company. I had the opportunity to interview with them through the university's graduate program. Before the interview, the company confirmed my visa status with me, and I explicitly stated that I required T2 visa sponsorship. Despite being aware of this, they scheduled the interview. However, when the interview began with a middle-aged white woman as the interviewer, she immediately stated that the position did not offer visa sponsorship. I was perplexed, wondering why they even scheduled the interview if that was the case. I then politely expressed my gratitude for the opportunity and mentioned that this was my first interview. In response, she asked, in a very impolite manner, "You didn't have any interview in your home country before?" Her tone lacked professionalism and made her appear incapable of independent thinking. I explained that this was my first interview in the UK, and I needed to communicate with her in English. I also emphasized how much I valued the opportunity. However, it seemed like this woman had not reviewed my resume at all. She disregarded my work experience and showed no interest in what I had accomplished in my previous roles, which would have been relevant to the position I was applying for. She asked me numerous questions that were unrelated to the position and industry, which felt like a subtle insult. Finally, after being rejected, this arrogant woman gave me feedback stating that my language skills were inadequate. I have never encountered such a discriminatory and irresponsible evaluation before. Later, I found out through LinkedIn that this woman only had a high school education and lacked continuous experience in the finance industry. I am genuinely baffled as to how she was qualified to interview a finance professional with an eight-year work history and a master's degree.
