I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Achievement First (New Haven, CT) in Oct 2016
Interview
First, there was a phone interview, followed by an on-site interview with the principal, recruiter, and Dean of College. I also had to prepare and teach a 20-minute class lesson. The phone interview was straightforward, regarding my ability to deal with situations in the classroom and my views on teaching towards college preparation. The on-site interview happened after the guest lesson. They shared with me their evaluations of the lesson as well as suggestions to improve. In addition, they asked me to clarify my interests in working with the school and why I want to serve this specific student body. Besides the face-to-face interactions, I was able to walk around the school and sit in on classes to get a sense of how the school functioned.

Interview
The interview process seemed to be quite simple and straight forward. I spoke with a recruiter after I applied and did a phone interview with them before setting up an interview for in person with the principal. The entire process was pretty straight forward and explained prior to the in person interview.
