Challenging but got great exposure into the company and the culture. It was a competitive interview and selection process but the reward good. I also liked that offered pay transparency which was good.

Interview
National industrial placement student (specifically sustainability, the others are probably the same)
1. Application online with preference questions
2. pre-recorded video interview with ~30 to prepare and ~1 minute to answer each question
3. Assessment centre ;
- Prepare a presentation about your visit to Aldi
- we were given specific topics each to weave into the presentation: Aldi's people, merchandising, branding, eccomerse and technology, corporate responsibility, competitor analysis, specialbuys and something else i cant remember.
- Group task to read a job description and 5 candidates and decide which one would be best for the job
- 20 minutes to decide as a group which would be best and present the candidate to the assessors
- 2 out of 8 people were asked to stay for a final interview
- no travel compensation was offered and feedback on the day was not given
Online numeracy and literacy timed tests which was then followed by a selection of automated video questions which you had to pre record and submit and then an in person assessment centre.
