I was interviewed by two associate directors. After presenting my portfolio we had a Q&A section where I answered some questions and asked my own. They were good listeners and we had a nice conversation, overall I felt quite comfortable and enjoyed the experience.
I interviewed at ADAM Architecture (London, England)
Interview
Interview was described as an informal chat to get to know eachother before a later formal interview. This was not the case. It was very formal. Had to present portfolio while asked questions and quizzed on construction details to test architectural knowledge. When I got to the section on my university work I was told that they didn't need to see that as essentially it's all just aesthetic and not considered as valuable to them. They were very serious and intense, not welcoming and didn't want to get to know eachother outside of testing architectural knowledge.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ADAM Architecture (London, England) in Aug 2023
Interview
Two stage interview process. Technical focus on detailing, some focus on JCT contracts, and questions relating to passion for and knowledge of classical architecture. Quite formal but with the usual conversational architect tone.
