I was scheduled for a 1-hour technical interview, but the discussion lasted only around 15 minutes. The interviewer shared a Google Sheet containing five pre-written problem statements (four output-based and one simple string character count program).
I attempted and answered all the questions during the session. However, there was no in-depth discussion, follow-up questions, or technical exploration of the solutions. The interview concluded abruptly without much interaction.
Later, I was informed that the feedback was negative, though no specific areas of improvement were shared.
While I respect the company’s selection process, I believe interviews should align with the scheduled duration and allow candidates enough opportunity to demonstrate their technical depth and problem-solving approach. A more structured and engaging discussion would help create a fair evaluation experience.
