      Placement Advisor Interview

      Feb 16, 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Los Angeles, CA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at 2U (Los Angeles, CA) in Jan 2016

      Interview

Really long interview process. I wish they had explained more at the beginning so I didn't keep getting my hopes up. First I was contacted by phone for a phone interview with a recruitment member, then I did another phone interview with a Team Manager, then I went in and did an in-person interview with their Team Manager and another in person interview with two team members, next I had another online interview with the Director of their team. Overall, I think a great company with really passionate people. I was disappointed to not get the position and again wished they had explained the multiple interview process or been a bit more transparent about the number of applicants from the very beginning so I wouldn't get so hopefully again and again after each interview.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Why do you want to work at 2U? Have you ever worked in a position where you performance was measured by how well you could reach your daily goals? Do you know how to use salesforce?

      Placement Advisor Interview

      May 11, 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Landover, MD
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at 2U (Landover, MD) in Apr 2016

      Interview

Phone screen asked basic interview questions. Interview went well and I was told to complete the 2nd online application and expect a phone call from the hiring manager/supervisor. That call happened a few days later. Spoke more specifically about "measurables" and performance expectations. I got "the email" 10 days later, Make sure you take the time to research the TYPE of company for which you're applying instead of just learning the history. Since 99.9% of their professional interactions are via telephone, make sure you block out the times for the phone interview. Don't take the calls while driving or attempting to do work for your current job. Give them all they want. Disappointed that I was not able to join this innovative company. I'll probably try again in a few weeks/months. I didn't take the phone interviews as seriously as it seems i should have. And i talked too much. Must understand the culture of your company moving forward.
