What kind of career opportunities exist at lululemon?

Pros

You get to meet some good people there

Cons

Highly toxic, so many gossips, favouritism, highly racist workplace. If you are a person with high education and skills, don't even think about this place. There is zero opportunity to grow for people like you, but if you are a person who is loud and not shy about speaking loudly about your goals and dreams, go and work there because you will get promoted in less than a year.

Advice to Management

If you want to have a good review, please take your employees seriously, don't give them firing notice just because they are speaking of truth, change your HR(People and culture team), Remove the managers who are making their teams suffer, and cover that suffering by lying...

There is zero opportunity to grow for people like you, but if you are a person who is loud and not shy about speaking loudly about your goals and dreams, go and work there because you will get promoted in less than a year.

Why do lululemon employees quit?

Pros

The company is supportive of contractors and you feel like you're a part of the team. They generally match your hourly range you desire. Contracts are not super restrictive or over-wordy.

Cons

Sometimes contracts get cut short which is a bummer and not the best protocol. Their contracts allow them to cancel at any time without any notice.

How are promotions handled at lululemon?

Pros

Great people, cares about your development and goals, opportunities for promotions, sweat allowance

Cons

Never enough staff, too many different systems, says they care about work/life balance but keeps expanding without the adequate support for hiring so you just work more

Advice to Management

There are too many last minute requests and lack of structure, so we are asked to be flexible, agile, and “entrepreneurial”, but just seems disorganized. Also, give more love to the people who have been loyal to the company. A lot of focus is on expanding, and you’re exhausting the people who have been here since the beginning. Emphasis on the new is great, but don’t forget to appreciate the old.
