Does Wodify have any mentoring programs?

Pros

The perks were pretty cool, however I felt most of them were designed to keep you in the office for longer than 40 hours a week.

Cons

It was expected that you work over 40 hours a week. Upper management, besides CEO, have no idea what they are doing. I personally felt that the training could have been better. While the training period is pretty long, which I thought was a great idea, it's not super hands on with the person training you. One thing I did enjoy was that they do events in the community, however each time I took part I felt it was more for a photo opp then for the actual event.

How do employees feel about their professional development opportunities at Wodify?

Pros

I've got to say, I've worked for a few different tech companies and this one is light years ahead of where they should be from an operational standpoint. Everything is about teaching employees and clients how to fish, instead of fishing for them. I can't tell you how important this is for scaling, reducing employee burnout, and empowering your clients to truly understand your product (which will ultimately help them understand any other product they use in the future). You're guided through everything, although, they will not hit the "save" button. I love that. Second, this whole operation isn't about being featured in a Forbes article or making a quick buck. It's truly about being involved in the fitness industry and being a partner to all of those participating. Everybody I work with actually wants to make the entire experience better, whether that is CrossFit, MMA or any other fitness class in that spectrum; they are constantly finding ways to make the product more engaging for athletes/students/clients around the world. I can't tell you how important that mentality is. They promote a healthy lifestyle/exercise, and because of that, everybody who works there is always happy. We have some fun internal healthy habit challenges/competitions using our very own apps. It's amazing. They even encourage you to take one meeting a day from your phone while you're on a walk getting some fresh air and sunshine. It's a small tech company, so obviously you have to be a an ambitious self-starter to succeed. Why wouldn't you want to work along people like that? They certainly provide you with all of the resources needed to succeed. Very smart people work here. You can learn a lot and be given opportunities you wouldn't get elsewhere. Lastly, they are totally transparent. Everybody has a stake in the business. They take care of their employees, truly. I come in happy and leave happy every single day. That's all anybody can ask for.

Cons

Lots of different softwares to learn for internal operations but that always comes with time.

What is the feeling of job security at Wodify?

Pros

Good Salary Decent Benefits Nice people at the Associate/Entry Level

Cons

Wodify will unfortunately never make it to the next level because the CEO and his leadership team are incapable of retaining good and talented people. There is a reason why the average tenure of the current employees is less than a year. One of the cultural values that Wodify claims to stand by is "Ask Why". When you do "ask why", you are thought of as a nuisance and then dismissed. Your job is literally never safe and you constantly feel as though upper management is looking to get rid of you. The company, as well as the product, are both unstable and unpredictable. Do not be fooled by the nice office, the smiling people that you interview with, and the "culture"; Wodify is a sinking ship so long as the CEO is steering it.

Advice to Management

Hold on to good and talented people. Look back at the cultural values you put in place and ask yourselves if you are really making decisions based on these values. Get someone with actual leadership experience on your leadership team.

Your job is literally never safe and you constantly feel as though upper management is looking to get rid of you.

How is management perceived at Wodify?

Pros

The company has really turned a corner over the last year. Management is very open to new thinking and employee and customer feedback. We're constantly trying to improve and are constantly reinvesting in hiring and making the company more scalable.

Cons

There is still some figuring things out as we go and some of the changes and hiring are taking some time.

Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. I think you're on the right track and I'm looking forward to where the next year takes us.
