Pros

Vivint Solar can be a great place if you are willing to work hard and put in the effort. Lots of opportunities to grow your career and be able to learn a lot of useful skills.

Cons

Many of the operations departments are silo-ed and fragmented. This can cause friction and doesn't lead to a "one team" mentality. Lack of communication can also be a big problem as many times departments don't realize the impact that their changes are making on other departments.

Advice to Management

Continue the quarterly CEO meetings. They are a great way to help employees feel engaged in the short and long term goals for the company.

Pros

Vivint has been an amazing learning experience and I’ve gained some of the best sales experience of my career. I am a current employee of about 2 years, and since joining Vivint they have awarded my work with regular paid all inclusive vacations (Tahiti, Key West, most recently Fiji) and an amazing work life balance. My first full year here I made my first 6 figures ever in a sales environment. I would highly recommend this job to any ambitious or competitive person. There are regular sales competitions that are fun, but not “cut throat”. I hope to continue on with them for many more years to come. Plenty of room to grow!

Cons

-In sales, you are 100% commission, and what you make of the experience is up to you. Whether you want to look at that as limitless “no ceiling” -some of the job is reliant on utility approval or other variable factors that can keep deals from going through. This is with any solar company though and “volume cures all”

Plenty of room to grow!
