Does United Airlines offer relocation assistance?

Pros

The benefits package is amazing. Medical, dental, vision, 401k, free meals, and all the typical benefits are included. Plus space available flights are free anywhere domestic for the employee, their children under 26, parents, and one extra person. International flights carry a small fee to cover taxes which averages around $40 per person, round trip. These flights are unlimited. My family and I took over 200 flights within a year of my hiring.

Cons

Work hours are often long and without any real breaks. Burnout rates are pretty high. The hourly pay is also low for line employees, with many making minimum wage or much less than their skills and workload are worth. Right now, due to COVID, the entire company is at a standstill and many are losing their positions, promotions, or jobs entirely. Outlook for the future is bleak.

The benefits package is amazing.

Does United Airlines offer dental insurance?

Pros

Benefits to the employee were great, which included free flying privileges, health insurance, dental and vision

Cons

Since United is such a big company, they only see you as a number. They don’t care about you individually. They go by attendance points, so if you’re sick more than twice, you get a warning and potentially could be fired. The amount of sick time you accumulate is only 8 hours per month. When you first start as a trainee, you get mandatory overtime constantly and they can keep you at work for up to 3 hours past your regular shift. Everyday if they want to. How is this even legal? Most of the time I wouldn’t even be doing anything I would just be at work on my phone when I could be home sleeping. These mandatory hours are tough on people who work late at night. The training does not tell you any of this, they only tell you how to work flights. They don’t tell you anything about certain things in the system that you have to learn on your own or by hearing it from peers. There’s never enough people that stay with United because you have to dedicate at least 10 years of your life before anything truly becomes beneficial.
