Advice to Management

Extremely high turnover rate (if you pay attention, the same research departments are hiring continuously; the task delegation logs show 10+ staff working on the same study since its inception) Abusive practices; toxic leadership in management and senior leadership staff are rampant (emotional and mental manipulation, scapegoating, gaslighting, management/leadership/senior staff will spin an issue to blame the individual instead of increasing staff morale, reducing workload or improving processes/procedures). Bullying, gossiping, and exclusionary tactics are pervasive amongst senior staff. Inefficient and coercive research recruitment practices (i.e., recruitment numbers are more important than participant wellbeing/safety in trial; forcing staff to consent participants quickly without giving them time to review the study); if you try to improve processes/procedures, you will become the problem and management will find a way to blame you and then subsequently replace you (often times with someone with less experience who won't know any better, thus no need to change any of their abusive practices). Burdensome workload - you will be expected to take on excessive overtime and duties beyond your role (i.e., being forced to do your manager's job because they are incompetent; monitoring and data management which is handled by another department). The lack of training is absurd given the complexities of the trials staff are working on. Work atmosphere is not conducive to promoting and maintaining the mental health and well-being of staff. Please avoid accepting any roles involved with MAP research as these are all systemic, ongoing issues that have existed prior to LKSKI (many complaints to HR have gone unheard with no changes to management and leadership).
