Does Splunk offer massages?
Pros
Great office in London Paddington. 3 floors, lots of food. Free breakfast on Tuesdays and free lunch on Thursdays. Great perks Great salary - higher than the average on the market
Cons
-Terrible processes - as a sales person, you'll struggle a lot if you're used to efficiency. Their CRM is completely broken, it takes a while to get anything done. Customers get frustrated and no one is around to help. -The channel isn't working - partners tell you that they will push splunk and a competitor -Most customers don't see the value of splunk. Also, it is really expensive! Deals get heavily discounted but again the approval process is just awful and very slow. You'll spend more time internally chasing people for help than actually speaking to customers and selling anything. -Also the sales cycle is just too long : a new logo will take around 13 months to close -It takes about a year to really understand the platform which sounds ridiculous but very true. Be prepared to commit yourself for 2 years minimum if you want to see any return on investment.....

Sometimes we run like a start up. The company is growing so fast! I'm just happy to be along for the ride.

Does Splunk have a pension plan?
Pros
pension, Splunk holidays, nice office
Cons
Top down American style management with overbearing politics, tedious processes and a dysfunctional modus operandi. No consideration for the employee who is but an easily replaceable number. High churn, most people get lured in by the brand name and quickly regret their decision. Too much overpaid mid-level management that don't develop talent or help them close deals at all. Unsellable 'suite' of products that isn't ready to go to market. If you want to make money, Splunk is not the place for you (unless you enjoy 2 year sales cycles and constant internal battles!).

Does Splunk offer a wellness program?
Pros
Some of the best and brightest people who want to help not only customers but their colleagues too, great solutions that are well known, big emphasis on public sector and making sure all the necessary compliance and security requirements are met. Huge emphasis on partnerships and programs to make sure they are taken care of. New leadership seems promising as does solutions emerging outside just security and SIEM; The benefits, pay, and how they treat people can't be beat with numerous 3 day weekends, extra spending on health, fund, and wellness, etc.
Cons
Lots and lots of changes and many people coming and going, long, arduous onboarding process since Covid make learning the basics difficult and a "diy" effort; With so many people coming and going and all the changes, it's hard to know what's going on at times and creates confusion. Sales territories are too small for the quotas in many cases
