What are some insights into the application process at Scotiabank?

Pros

BENEFITS!, hours, trustworthiness, learning within the job, performance based bonus, great team environment and flexibility for personal matters. 16 vacation days carry over next year, 5 personal days and can purchase another 5.

Cons

Technology is not the most advanced. Systems are terrible, compliance team gets back to you for minor things like having to DATE a protection application where client is ineligible due to age. Lots of minor tasks and paperwork that take time away from generating results. Advancements are limited. You can go as high as Senior FA then your options are management or try to figure out on your own as there isnt any path of what you can do. You need to network with other departments to try to have a chance working in a different arm of the bank. After 4ys as an FA it just feels more of the same, and Senior FA you just have bigger goals for a bit more pay.
