How are the career development opportunities at Retirement Concepts?

Pros

Some staff genuinely care about residents but unfortunately the company itself does very little to help seniors and actively creates a toxic culture.

Cons

Toxic work environment, gossiping, little training/career development opportunities, bullying/hazing of new hires, poor leadership, greedy company taking advantage of seniors, regressive culture - not open-minded, authoritarian, extremely unprofessional leadership in corporate roles.

Advice to Management

Head office is completely out of touch and unprofessional. The for-profit model of seniors care means charging top dollar for seniors living, underpaying staff, and doing anything to make as much money as possible. Head office feels incredibly corrupt and doing everything in its power to appease investors and break up/disempower unions. Seniors are often falling through the cracks if they don't have family advocating on their behalf. Management needs to work on creating a healthier work environment and looking out for the seniors in their care rather than squeezing every penny out of them.
