How are senior leaders perceived at Prodomax Automation?

Pros

Slight flexibility in working hours.

Cons

The technical skills of the managers and team leaders are limited to what they have seen and can duplicate. They also lack immensely in people skills. That results in a very toxic work environment as they (as well as other employees following in their footsteps) constantly and desperately try to prove themselves. They do that by keeping information from employees rather than teaching them, and even by talking down to them. Gossiping and finger pointing are ubiquitous in this workplace. Especially if they think you have better skills, then you will definitely notice them trying to prove otherwise. It will be even much worse if you do not share interests that would allow you to form close relationships especially with someone above you. Do not expect to advance if you do not become part of the close-knit group because performance and skills do not mean much in this organization.

Advice to Management

The root cause for your organizational culture is that middle management and leads should have apt technical background and ample people skills, neither of which your managers or leads possess. Rather than continuous improvement and developing effective leaders and successful employees, the focus was always on how to put certain people down and make them doubt their skills, and look as if they were inept in front of others. Costly resources such as effort and time were put in to pinpoint their mistakes if any, otherwise, ridicule their work and try to fail them. Cultures take years to change unless drastic changes are made.
