Does PointClickCare pay for a gym membership?

Pros

Great CEO Awesome health benefits Free parking and free gym Nice cafeteria

Cons

-Managers just come to office to have a day out. Some comes once a week others once in a month to get reports. -Most managers won't even know your name or what you do. -Too much politics, old employees are very good at that. -New ideas are tossed out of the window from 7th floor. -Majority of old demographics at management level, Just hanging on until retirement. -People comes to office for average 4 hours a day, no one cares( who would care, Managers are not there themselves) -Old employees take advantage of their connections, will try to kick you out sooner than later.

Advice to Management

Dear Mike , please pay a visit to 7th floor regularly and have some kind of attendance sheet for employees.

Does PointClickCare offer vacation time?

Pros

Great origin story, the work helps real people, unlimited vacation, great office setting, Cafe is amazing

Cons

Terrible pay if you're anything but a software dev, bonuses are a joke, RRSP matching is a joke, if you have issues with your job or your manager HR will not help, a gym is great but no time to use it, too many projects on timelines that were too short with too few resources, everyone on earth has to approve everything which bogs down decision making, spend too much time explaining yourself or entertaining ideas from people that have no background in what it is you do, the year-end review process is the most bizarre thing I've ever been a part of where the entire department weighs in on everyone else and bonuses/raises are handed out based on feelings rather than concrete accomplishments

Advice to Management

If you want the best talent, like you claim you do, you have to pay people money to stay...so-called "benefits" do not replace cash. This was founded as a great company, keep focusing on helping people because that's what you're good at.

Does PointClickCare offer dental insurance?

Pros

-The office amenities are great -The health and dental benefits are pretty good

Cons

-The marketing team is directionless. There's too many pivots in one year, and the SVP of Marketing does not do a good job of making decisions based on data. If she does, then it's not carefully considered and is made in a reactionary way.

Does PointClickCare offer employee discounts?

Pros

Work space Remote work sometimes limited small discounts at retails Good for co-op or as temp job to pass time

Cons

Grave yard for your tech skills as an engineer Old tech, old code base, stupid processes and no opportunity for growth for engineers Poor management company is unethical and full of lies in their town hall meetings fired people more than 40 people (including me) this month for no reason and the slap the performance label as a reason to save money and just pay 2weeks

Advice to Management

To management, be more transparent. To Dave and his leadership supporters, don’t get too emotional when putting your drama acts on stage in front of people at company events, especially the new ceo Dave
