What are other benefits and incentives like at PointClickCare?

Pros

- Amazing culture, leadership and people who are genuinely passionate - Meaningful work - making an impact directly on people's lives - Never have worked with so many smart, yet modest and down-to-earth people who care about what we're doing, want to see you succeed and celebrate with you - Promote within and opportunity for growth - Working towards D&I - Rewarded for the work you do and put in - Leadership team is constantly surprising us with new initiatives and programs that engage employees and keep us focused on our mission

Cons

- So much changes day to day, it can be frustrating at times but if you see the bigger picture it makes sense and there is reason for it - knowing the WHY behind things is often expressed - Workload is a lot lately, even though the company has prided itself on work-life balance, it ebbs and flows - which is ok but don't lose sight of that being important to people and why they choose PCC - We do so many things so well, Compensation should be one of those things but we can't compete with the bigger software companies like Microsoft, Google, Shopify, etc. (even though we try to) It's a trade off at times (meaningful work, great people and leadership) but compensation is a big driver for people and if we want the best "world-class" team, we have to be prepared to pay for them.

Advice to Management

When people choose to leave, pay more attention to that and understand WHY and act on it if you need to. Make changes, ensure employees are happy and want to be here. LISTEN to your employees - we've had such a strong team to get us where we are today, without them, we would not be here and moving forward cannot have the same success without such a strong team.

What are sales commissions like at PointClickCare?

Pros

Great CEO, great culture, great mission, great vision, tremendous care for staff, too many perks to list. PCC truly embraces a confident and winning culture. It's been the best experience I've had in my short sales career.

Cons

Lots of change over the past 5 months. Many of the changes have been decent with a few that have been adversely received. We are experiencing some minor alignment issues across the company. New sales pod structure, new sales commission plan, lots of red tape for approvals, lack of trust across some departments is apparent. Some employees take advantage of flex time hours, head office location is not desirable. SVP of Sales recently resigned. He always made time for everybody and treated everybody with respect. He was a great leader, liked by all and he will undeniably be missed!

Advice to Management

Look no further than the people you have underneath you. We have many great employees worthy of consideration for open management roles. Why not give an opportunity to someone who has earned their right to demonstrate their leadership capabilities? Bringing someone in from the outside is likely to be frustrating as it was before and failed. This could once again impact employee morale and could signal, rightly or wrongly, that the organization is not invested in growing and developing employees.
