What is health insurance like at Opencare?

Pros

Opencare's people are what make the company great. Otherwise, the constant disorganization about vision and execution makes day-to-day stressful, confusing, and challenging to grow.

Cons

Inexperienced CEO who portrays transparency but doesn't execute. Basic health benefits options. Consistent layoffs every couple months. Change in business direction. Very limited stability.

Does Opencare offer an employee assistance or workplace counselling program?

Pros

Opencare is one of the best companies I have worked for with some of the smartest and brightest individuals. Contrary to some reviews, the team is lead by knowledgable, empathic and well rounded leaders/ executives. Some of the perks/ pros of working for Opencare are 100% remote working with a culture that embraces work life balance. Opencare offers unlimited PTO which shows a level of trust among employees and the company to use the time off when you need it to rest and recharge. If that's not enough, the company also shuts down during the Christmas break as a thank you for all the work done during the year. Other perks include - company grant options, health and dental coverage, opportunities for growth and learning, a leadership team that is receptive to feedback and continued recognition from immediate and cross functional teams for job well done

Cons

Since Opencare is so receptive to feedback, there aren't any cons as it stands. However, if Opencare could implement an RRSP program for current employees, that would be great

Advice to Management

Continue to live by your values or being radically transparent and growing with every step. I know for myself, I appreciate the transparency that our leaders have provided with every win and road blocker that the business had faced.

Does Opencare offer vacation time?

Pros

- Flexible hours with truly unlimited vacation - Emphasis on personal health ahead of work - Abundance of interesting business problems to tackle with a lean team - Transparency on goals / opportunities / challenges from executives to rest of organization - Fast paced environment with regular shifts in focus - Strong focus on building a sustainable business while also growing market share

Cons

- Flat organizational structure can make it difficult to coordinate efforts and hold people accountable

Advice to Management

- Keep being transparent and getting everyone to rally around our goals - Continue breaking down high-level goals into components that each team can influence, showing how the interrelate is super useful
