Does Nolk offer vacation time?

Pros

Nolk has done a great job of putting the team first while still recognizing individual successes. The hiring process is considered and thoughtful, and the end result is a great group of people to work with. I've been fortunate to work with Nolk since the early beginning, being employee #2, and it's been a treat to see the company grow to what it is today. Aside from that, other notable highlights are: - Generous paid time off - Flexibility in working schedule - High levels of autonomy - Genuine concern for employee welfare

Cons

The office is lovely, but around 20 kms from downtown Montreal, in St. Bruno. Not the end of the world, but it is a bit of a tour to get there.

Advice to Management

The investments in company culture and activities like the Nolk running team are awesome - keep it up! It's great to work where the management does more than pay lip service to employee initiatives and joins the activities themselves as well.

How are the career development opportunities at Nolk?

Pros

This is a company that truly understands that people are at the heart of the success of any team and organization. They therefore prioritize a whole bunch of initiatives that put people and their well-being first, and it makes the work culture engaging, challenging and satisfying. Some good examples: - Extremely generous vacation time (4 weeks off + 2 off at Christmas) - Flexibility on work hours, time off, and even work location (need not be in the same city to excel and be hired) - Regular anonymous weekly surveys to check in about team culture, work/life balance, recognition and sentiment among staff - Very fair salaries, plenty of opportunities for paid training and chances to grow into bigger roles - Very fun work events that embrace a covid reality but still manage to be unique and extremely engaging - A hiring process that highlights the value of complementary skills, personality and cultural fit, not just merit and credentials
