Advice to Management
Any advice that has been given by a great multitude of people over the last several decades, has consistently fallen on deaf and dismissive ears at the upper levels of the department and city officials. With even a great exodus of officers, they will still insist on remaining dishonest and create the illusion that things are going well.

Pros
Decent salary and Vacation time after 5 and half years . The dental and medical benefits
Cons
Anything that makes sense and is logical will not happen int the department. Chaos, disfunction, irrelevance and non efficiency will all be a part of your workday. The PD needs and intervention. Too many old outdated supervisors…with poor decisions because they are BURNT OUT!! But the reason they are holding on is due to the power they hold while in rank ,paychecks , take home cars … Medical Benefits and Decent pension plans
Advice to Management
Many active Employees with professional backgrounds , talent , skills Masters Degrees, Doctorates, not given job opportunities because they don’t know “ someone “ Review current employees education and prior work skills it should not be about who you know, more like what you know ! Revamp the promotion process; passing a 100 question exam should not deem anyone fit to be a supervisor. There should be a 6 month training on management and EMPATHY!
