Does MultiPlan offer relocation assistance?

Pros

I started working at MultiPlan in September of 1997 in the Customer Service Department, but my career at this company has not stopped there. MultiPlan has afforded me the opportunity to grow in different areas, but I found my “home” in our Sales and Marketing Department. Within my current role I continue to work with internal staff, but also with our clients. What is special about this company is the relationships they have with their customers because we form partnerships and not your standard client-vendor relationships. MultiPlan has a very generous Benefit package and wellness program. MultiPlan is also a company that gives back to the Community with their Charity Committee program. I am very proud to work for a company like MultiPlan.

Cons

I do not have any Cons at this time about working for this company.

Advice to Management

The management at MultiPlan are always looking out for their employees. We are thankful to have such an amazing upper management staff.

Does MultiPlan offer a wellness program?

Pros

Does MultiPlan offer malpractice insurance?

Pros

MultiPlan offers paid training, summer hours (done 2 hours early every Friday from Memorial Day to Labor Day paid), excellent insurance, decent PTO, generous absence policy, semi-casual dress policy (when in office), supportive leadership, ability to switch roles after 9 months with the company. Callers are pleasant for the most part, upset callers are rare. Up-to-date hardware & software.

Cons

With summer hours, if using PTO on a Friday, you still have to use 8 hours of PTO to take the day off. Future PTO cannot be scheduled unless you currently have the hours to cover it, and PTO doesn’t carry over from year-to-year. Also, the added PTO with multiple years with the company isn’t great. No option to buy PTO. Generous absence policy, however if you have frequent absences, it will count against someone seeking promotion or when “life happens” which can be tough for parents. Leadership tends to be more supportive of those who tow the line. There is no bereavement policy which can be traumatic & challenging if & when a loved one passes which leads to a serious lack of moral. Concerns regarding confidentiality when disclosing personal information to some leadership & training staff. The business model is complex. Many “members” have no idea who their insurance is through, how to use it, what their benefits are, etc. disheartening to know Multiplan doesn’t do more to educate insurance companies & providers to avoid member confusion & dissatisfaction.

Advice to Management

Cannot stress enough how much a bereavement policy must be added. This is the complete opposite of work/life balance & puts employees in very tough situations when losing a loved one. Please overhaul the PTO policies. Upper Management (Executives) should be listening to member calls to hear their frustration. Our Clients are the insurance companies, but we shouldn’t be frustrating their clients by acting as a barrier to care.
