What is the salary like at MediSystem Pharmacy?

Pros

Clean office, friendly staff, management has a positive attitude, they are trying to everything they can to improve employee morale, on a low budget. - small events, lunches, engagement sorts of events -- it's an engaging workplace for sure, and positive in that aspect

Cons

IF you have a family you won't be able to work here -- they pull a bit of a bait & switch with off days, and actually require you to alternate between 5 and 6 day workweeks. The employee benefits like drug plan, dental, disability, and insurance and such are actually not paid just by the company, but by the employee through ** HEFTY ** payroll deductions. You'll actually earn less than minimum wage once the ** MANDATORY ** benefits deductions are taken off, even unpaid lunch, and then you'll wind up working hectic 5 / 6 day weeks, plus holidays. Just go anywhere else. You'll earn more and have far less stress as.... and yes, EARN MORE and less stress.... at.... -- McDonalds -- WalMart -- Any Supermarket Why earn "less than minimum" after mandatory deductions, when you can earn bare minimum and wind up ahead almost anywhere else?

Advice to Management

Wages need to be brought in line with market rates -- consider a market rate survey, to find out what other companies are paying for similar work. It's offensive to employees to make "benefits" mandatory, and then charge them huge deductions on each paycheque -- shipping hard earned wages off to Manulife, whether you need or use it or not. It makes your extremely low wages actually lower -- the mandatory insurance payments you pay to the big name insurance companies, will actually put you ** BELOW MINIMUM WAGE ** once all is said and done. Why work 6 day weeks, work holidays, and make less than a mcdonalds or walmart wokrer? Because you hate yourself? because you don't value yourself? Maybe you like being abused.... ?

Does MediSystem Pharmacy offer a yearly bonus?

Pros

free parking, management likes to spend a lot of time expensing lunches rather than managing.

Cons

There are many to mention. Leadership is non-existent and play favorites. If you aren't part of the inner circle, you likely won't last long. Leaders in general have no clue about what other groups do, how the business runs and are generally non-communicative. This place is like high school. Gossipy, cliquey. Most people here are long time employees so very adverse to change. Same issues with client service and operations come up over and over again but they are generally ignored. Management has no clue how to motivate or lead a team effectively, and only care about maintaining their high user engagement score. This is because it affects their annual bonus. Actually had a director send out a mass email to team members asking them to maintain the 96% positive reviews!! All the other feedback left on here about over work, underpaid, under appreciated, gossipy, back stabbing, not client focused.... they are all true. Honestly, if you are unemployed and in desperate need of a job, then join. But if you have options, I suggest you stay far, far away from here. It will kill you career, motivation and soul. The turnover rate is insane. Anyone who has any skill/ability leaves. You are left with lifers..

Advice to Management

Take a good hard look inwards and address the lingering issues that you know are there. Ignoring them won't make them go away. Churn of employees and customers is high because of the work environment and attitudes. You should clean house and hire competent leaders who can motivate staff, but instead you promote or hire people who only know how to say YES. It's very sad to see and not surprising that clients and employees are leaving en mass.

This is because it affects their annual bonus.
