What is the retirement plan like at Manulife?

Pros

The company offers good benefits in terms of retirement savings and health benefits. You are in a good position if you applied to your dream job right away. The work and life balance is great.

Cons

I believe it all depends in which department you are, but in my department there is absolutely no training and the team is very unwelcoming. If you have questions, good luck asking the senior staff members or even management. Good luck if you want to apply to another role, once you get hired for a role, management would rather see you leave the company than offer you a higher position. You are not valued by management; they couldn't care less about their educated staff members. I have seen many previous colleagues leaving the company one by one for the same reasons. Also, forget about any raises in your salary, people have the same salary as 4 years ago.

Advice to Management

Employees and clients should be treated with the same respect; it is easier and more cost efficient to value and promote internal employees as much as it is easier to keep clients and grow with them than always seeking new clients and employees.

The company offers good benefits in terms of retirement savings and health benefits.

Does Manulife offer dental insurance?

Pros

Amazing Company with well-known integrity. Good, friendly and helpful team. Caring managers/directors who protect their teams. Generally, amazing products. Lot's of good training!

Cons

Despite not having other major health issues, I'm not eligible for our own insurance (group or individual) because of my obesity. it's very difficult for me to tell my clients that I think medical and critical illness insurances are good for them because I myself do not benefit from the coverage.

Advice to Management

We love you! Keep up the good work! Manulife is a place which gave me so much growth. Love our Agency Communication Meetings, you make them fun and informative- like a cross of professionalism and parties.

it's very difficult for me to tell my clients that I think medical and critical illness insurances are good for them because I myself do not benefit from the coverage.
