What is the hiring process like at MNP?

Pros

None - see the cons below - biggest mistake in my career to work for this company

Cons

- No engagement planning, everybody does random work throughout the engagement, even if work allocationis built. - Partner group unable to provide meaningful work to newly hired manager. - Hired me to work on public company files and promised to give me this during the interview process but was given clerical NTR and review engagements and ASPE clients. - Unneccessary hiring just to show off the increase in number of employees would not do any favour to your firm. - Plan your hiring process and only hire people if you have the work that aligns with their skill set. - Partner group unethcial and does not have any professionalism. Instead of working as a team they try to catch and highlight your mistakes and send emails for each working paper just to make you feel embarassed. Also, when you talk about improving the audit quality they would stick to "same as last year" approach just to not ask any meaningful questions from the client so that the client is not bothered. - Many instances where work is not done as per IFRS / ASPE and the relevant auditing standards. - The file is just a bag of meaningless procedures and some relevant work.

Advice to Management

You guys cannot change your mentality so its better to not advice you!

Plan your hiring process and only hire people if you have the work that aligns with their skill set.
