What is the hiring process like at MNP?

Pros

My human capital (MNP's version of HR) advisor was very understanding in delaying my offer due to the lockdown rather than cancelling it. Onboarding process was fairly seamless. Agricultural focus of this office was as advertised.

Cons

Coming in as a master's student it was a little bit disappointing to start off entering paper ledgers into QuickBooks, but that's life and where a new hire has to start off. Perhaps it is just the nature of this office, but it seems to be a bit below MNP's "mid-market" focus.

Onboarding process was fairly seamless.

How do employees feel about the requirements to work at MNP?

Pros

- New Hire Orientation and On-boarding is excellent. - Lots of In class room training before starting official work (great for new hires that do not have a great background in Assurance Auditing) - MNP understands that new hires need to adapt to a new environment and may go under a lot of stress. - Free Coffee and Espressos, and Hot Chocolate. - Can ask as many questions as you want if you don't understand concepts or how to complete tasks. - Great work life balance compared to the Big 4 firms.

Cons

- Some in-class training is a bit too advanced for first time CO-OP students

Advice to Management

I believe it would be more beneficial to both the employer and employee if there was more CaseWare Training at a slower pace.
