How was the interview at MNP?

Pros

Since I applied as a Practicum Student the interview process was likely simpler than for someone interviewing for an actual position. The Human Capital division is personable, and always responds quickly to questions. The first-day experience was good overall. I was introduced to all staff members present, and then went through the Orientation process with the Human Capital Coordinator. New employees are assigned a 'buddy' to help them navigate the challenges of the new work environment. My buddy has been extremely helpful answering my many questions.

Cons

Communication about which manager is directly responsible for new employees could be improved. I also would've liked to have an initial sit-down with my Manager to discuss what my goals are/what I would like to accomplish, as well as to learn about what their specific expectations are. It would make the experience a bit more personal.

Advice to Management

Ensure new employees know who the Manager directly supervising them is from Day One. Sit-downs with new employees to discuss goals/expectations/getting to know each other would be something to consider as well.
