Does Long & McQuade offer parental leave?

Pros

Working with a community of musicians, instruments and gear.

Cons

Constant turn over. Raises to the expect are only cost of living even if you make them a million dollars a year. You also get a total of six paid sick days a year ever if it’s your job that has overworked you to the point of illness. Come to think of it our General manager got cancer before he passed away. He took two years of sick leave and when he came back they wanted to demote him to salesperson after 35 years of service.

Advice to Management

Get with the times and compare your wages and employee satisfaction with other successful companies. You can’t put the customer first if you put employees last. The edge of this company is having knowledgeable employees for customers to seek help and advice but even new employees are either quitting after a month or actively looking for better jobs. The little perks are all this company has to offer. Don’t nickel and dime your employees. Go out of your way to show your employees, with actions rather than words, that you appreciate them.
