They overwork you for bottom of the barrel pay and very few people actually make a lot of money

Insight Global personnel are easy to access and willing to assist with many issues. Also contract work is more available than direct hire work.

Cons

I discovered that doing contract work is not really for me. I'm used to getting feedback from my immediate supervisor but this is only one of the reasons I will avoid contract work in the future. While Insight Global does offer medical insurance, it is EXTREMELY expensive. Also there is no paid time off/sick leave and n Dental or Vision insurance. These unexpected expenses make contract work less appealing from a salary perspective and the lack of input on the job site from immediate managers makes the job even harder.

Advice to Management

Not all contract employers are willing to treat contract workers with the same respect as their direct hire workers.

They need to be more in contact with what's going on at the site you are working on. They are something not in the know about important things like length of contract, updates on rebidding etc.
