Pros
A regular paycheck and health benefits.
Cons
Managers prefers to micromanage, lack of communication from management, no direction, and performance is measured by hours worked. Management seems to be making changes without much thought. People thrown into roles with no experience or qualifications. Customers are unhappy. Going to a client meeting is the worst part of my job. I constantly have to make excuses for poor project performance and management. This company is slowly dying and probably won't last long.
Advice to Management
Go back to square one and rebuild.

Pros
Being employed and having health benefits
Cons
Hostile work environment in the engineering department. You are judged on how many hours that you bill to clients. You work through evenings and weekends for no additional pay. Sometimes you'll get a gift card for $100. Usually it's just expected. Bringing up your concerns just gets you reprimanded. Promotions depend on personal relationships and not your skills. Good place to work if you want to really appreciate your next employer. Company was sold and the President left. Other senior managers started leaving soon after. Everyone puts on a brave face but they are all miserable when you talk to them one on one. They are scared to be honest on employee surveys and to talk to their managers because you will getput on the list for the next round of cuts.
