How is management perceived at Deluxe Corporation?

Pros

Overall the people are friendly and trying. The pay is better than many competing roles, but there's also more stress than most companies.

Cons

The benefits are very poor compared to other companies and they haven't given raises out since the new CEO joined.. Management in some areas really have no idea on the subject matter they're responsible for and in many cases are very poor at general management. The company as a whole really think employees are just throw away. They show this through the number of layoffs they do yearly and how they treat the people still there. Upward movement is nonexistent. From a systems perspective, it's a mess. All home grown and everyone is too frightened to make a change.

Advice to Management

Treat your people better. The talent that has been lost in the past 2 years is a showing of how the good get out. Improve your benefits. You expect so much from the workers but give little in return.

Are employees at Deluxe Corporation generally happy and/or satisfied?

Pros

Great culture, people, benefits, good employee rewards program. Leaders encourage people to learn new things and work on different challenging projects. Free lunch and fruits bi-weekly. Free pop and coffee. Monthly office events make it a fun and relax work environment. Leaders are very transparent in almost everything about the company. CEO has great vision for the future of the company.

Cons

Lots of meetings which sometimes interfere with real work done.

Great culture, people, benefits, good employee rewards program.
