What are working conditions like at Chemtrade?

Pros

Lots of good people who want to do the right thing. There is lots of opportunity to build process - mostly because they have so few or they're not consistently followed.

Cons

Most managers and supervisors lack training on how to support people - everything from explaining how to do a job safely to following up on things to even having a conversation about how someone is doing. It's always production over safety and people, so good people leave once they get enough experience and figure out that they are more likely to be blamed than supported. There never seems to be enough people and always

Advice to Management

Invest in really training managers and leaders -- not online courses but proper training that's impactful and. Put effort into real company values and making sure safety and safety training is a top-down priority, not just something that's talked about. Make sure all levels of leadership understand that you only get results through people and that people need support, training and understanding, not blame to do their best work.
