Does CarMax offer relocation assistance?
Pros
Carmax has a great benefits package and the pay is usually above the average rate of the competing shops. The shop maintains a pretty high op-tempo, and there’s exposure to an extremely diverse amount of cars. I’ve worked on everything from Tesla Model X’s and Porsches to the mundane Kia’s and Chevys.
Cons
Promotions through the ranks can be slow. If you’re coming in at any level you’ll have to be there for 6 months before being eligible for promotion, if and only if a position is available. Carmax also has a very rigid time and attendance policy.

Does CarMax offer life insurance?
Pros
Some of my coworkers were great and I had two decent managers.
Cons
Terrible pay. They keep changing the pay structure cutting the amount you make drastically. You also get forced splits where you have no choice but to split your pay with corporate because someone scheduled an appointment or looked at a vehicle online, even though the system is automated. Terrible benefits. None of us have ever payed so much for medical insurance in our entire lives, and the benefits are terrible - especially if you're a woman. Their insurance specifically states the things it doesn't cover (or very minimal coverage) for women, to include women's health, prenatal, child birth/delivery, invitro, surrogacy, adoption, birth control, etc. They also have terrible employee protections, life insurance policies, workers comp, tuition assistance, etc. Corporate and management treat their employees terribly and their customers even worse. There is dishonesty hidden in every department of the company - from the way they deal with the cars they buy, the way they fix them, the way they hide prior damage, the way they sell them, the way the paperwork is done, and ESPECIALLY in the way the store managers and higher level employees take advantage of and treat everyone (employee and customer). It's nearly impossible to advance, and you'll guaranteed have to move where ever they feel if you get the chance. In the winter, they force their employees to come in early to salt and shovel the snow, uncover all the vehicles, etc and pay them minimum wage to do it. In sales, you make the same amount on a vehicle regardless of the cost...and it's pennies compared to any other vehicle sales company out there. Injured employees are shunned, forced out, or treated so badly that they eventually quit. Maternity, paternity, and medical leave are a joke. For being a Fortune 500 company that meets and surpasses their projections and quotas every quarter, they are the cheapest company in existence. They gave their employees a $25 gift card to a fast food restaurant for Christmas. When you win an award, they give you a $10 bonus...in the form of a gift card to a fast food restaurant. Unreal...
Advice to Management
Take care of your employees. Actually take care of them. You're literally treating them like scum. And you're doing the same thing to your customers. You treat them like dirt. I'm not sure how you can sustain a business when you treat both so poorly. But seriously, you've made it nearly impossible to make a livable income. One can literally make more flipping burgers at a fast food restaurant - and they'll see the employees in there around Christmas getting their "thank you" chicken sandwich with fries.
They also have terrible employee protections, life insurance policies, workers comp, tuition assistance, etc.
