- No accountability throughout org - Promotion framework is based on popularity among executives - Product management org is led by product marketers - Black representation is non-existent past the level of Director

Does Blackbaud offer parental leave?

Pros

-Mission oriented (passionate about helping non-profits & doing good in the world) - Supportive colleagues - Fun work environment & culture

Cons

- Leadership is not clear about how workers can create balance in their work-family life. Working from home is technically discouraged but the company has a large number of remote employees. No clear guidelines for how to balance time with heavy work travel. - Minimal family leave (6 weeks paid maternity, 4 weeks paid paternity). Leadership vocalizes wanting to increase the number of women working at Blackbaud but doesn't create an appealing benefits package for working mothers and families.

Advice to Management

If you truly want to see an increase in women at Blackbaud I would strongly encourage you to rethink your benefits package. There is a need for specific language and guidelines around how employees can create work/life balance. Ambiguity leads to confusion and frustration amongst employees and their supervisors.

Life insurance and 401k are standard, lots of time off when you've been with the company for a bit.
