Does Apex Systems offer parental leave?
Pros
Everyone is nice. Great opportunities for getting your foot through the door if you have the knowledge needed to get the job done.
Cons
I can't afford the health benefits. It seems they do not pay healthcare premiums meaning the employee has to cover thousands of dollars per month for their family if they want healthcare. For a family of three the monthly insurance started at 1.7k - 7k per month. No 401k; no matching 401k You cannot work here as a contractor in hopes of saving for retiring. Unless you take a contract position part-time while you work full time elsewhere. Contracting jobs only. They say they have full time jobs to give out occasionally but they never have any available. No PTO, sick time, maternity or paternity leave. No paid holidays
Advice to Management
Give people a break. If people work 40+ hours the least that can be done is to give them a little bit of time off. Also, help pay for health insurance. Paying $2,000 - $7,000 per month is something only a rich person could afford. Most of your employees are contractors. Making between $12-25 / hour.
No PTO, sick time, maternity or paternity leave.
