Former Intern - Intern - Hourly

I worked at WE Communications for less than a year

Pros

- Summer Fridays - Got thrown right into the work (great for entrepreneurial workers) - Opportunities to travel across offices - Global exchange program - Robust agency life - Promotions... possible at a junior level if you work hard

Cons

- Microsoft and few other brands make up most clients; lacks variety across accounts - Very white-woman dominated, can be cliquey and condescending - Very hands-off so if you need lots of... processes and explaining rather than being thrown into work, not the place for you - So much billing (but typical because it's an agency) - Small offices unless you're at HQ in Seattle - Often working on teams across states and different time zones - Long hours

Advice to Management

- Recruit more diverse talent especially at senior/VP level - Give interns opportunity to travel across offices and meet other interns - Keep a closer eye on the hiring process, especially for... diverse talent, didn't feel as inclusive as I wanted

I worked at Weber Shandwick

Pros

Great team! Great company benefits and environment. Open company culture.

Cons

Long working hour at times
