I have been working at U.S. Steel Canada

Pros

Great group of people to work with, good pay and a good company to work for. always busy and always something different

Cons

Poor management when it comes to organizing jobs and ordering parts

Current Employee - Production Assembler

I have been working at CornellCookson full-time for more than a year

Pros

The benefits are pretty good, it's a relaxed, friendly environment, the pay is excellent for new/newish employees, and your time off is generous compared to other factory jobs.

Cons

Changes are made infrequently, and the changes that are made don't make much sense. Seasoned employees are ripped off and aren't paid as much as new hires. Once you're in a bay or certain shift, it's... hard to get transferred to a different one. It gets VERY hot in the summer since the building basically turns into a giant metal oven with little air ventilation.

Advice to Management

Appreciate your employees you already have. Take suggested changes to heart.
