I have been working at Rush Oak Park Hospital full-time
Pros
The people I work with.
Cons
The way the Hospital is run. Every other employee I work with was given a raise but the 2 EPs in Cardiac Rehab did not get a raise because the Compensation department did not think they deserved one.... So raises have nothing to do with the work you do, all based off of what average pay is for your position.
Advice to Management
Reward your employees for the work they do.
I have been working at Rush Memorial Hospital full-time for less than a year
Pros
This hospital provides cutting edge services with incredibly talented staff. If you want to work with a great team with opportunity to learn new skills and work with new equipment this is the place... to be. As a new employee my team is always there to help me learn and very understanding of mistakes. Leadership at this hospital is employee oriented and striving to make the patient experience priority one.
Cons
If you want to work at a place where you make widgets on a line and do the same thing every day this might not be the place for you. Every day brings new experiences and learning opportunities.... Departments are close and work well with each other there is a strong team atmosphere.
Advice to Management
Your focus on employee well being is appreciated and making a safe updated work environment is commendable.
