Current Employee - Quick Service Cook

I have been working at Rogers Arena part-time for more than 3 years

Pros

wages, pretty much watching a game for free

Cons

availability issues- they require you to be available for a certain portion of the months events but they will schedule you for days/events that you pecifically marked as unavailable

Advice to Management

Find a way to make someones schedules fit their schedule rather than the teams. People have school or other jobs so scheduling people when they cant work is unfair!

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

I worked at Kelowna Museums Society full-time for more than a year

Pros

Lovely partnership with the city Beautiful Exhibit Talented Curational Staff Beautiful Buildings

Cons

Upper level management may have power and prestige issues that effect their ability to help the organization reach it's full potential

Advice to Management

Lead your team with grace and strength, don't squash them, and continually replacing staff costs the donors and members too much due to poor management skills.
