I worked at Primark Benefits

Pros

Great for working during the day

Cons

Bad for working during the night

Current Employee - Bookkeeping Associate

I have been working at Bench Accounting full-time for less than a year

Pros

• The people : It seems like they really know how to pick who they hire, because it sometimes feel like everyone at the company is wonderful. Working here means being surrounded by bright,... emotionally intelligent and driven coworker - and that stuff is contagious. • The community spirit : There is a strong connections between workers across the board, with coworkers always willing to help, and a focus and care on making the work environment has connected, fluid and open as possible. Management is committed to making this a priority, and it shows. • The Facilities : I don't know if you can get any better, except maybe if you had a private beach in New Jersey (I love New Jersey). Coffee, food, bonsaï, modern design, light and architecture that participate in bringing people together. • The actual work : Though it may seem repetitive, or even boring, from the name of the job, it is far from a monotonous job. It is challenging, yet achievable (with all the valuable help), it provides a sense of pride because of the positive role you play in your client's life, it's very flexible to your own style of working (as long as you have an interest in investing yourself in the job) • The possibility to grow : Once you are in the company, the possibility to grow as an individual AND as a worker are endless, which is why I will often leap out of bed in the morning (make no mistake - I was NEVER EVER a morning person before)

Cons

In as much as I don't see ANY cons with working at Bench, I could imagine how every coin has two sides: All the points cited above could be felt as being negative for someone else. I could imagine... someone getting overwhelmed with the work, frustrated by a lack of direction, uneasy with the amount of social connections required, or even unmotivated by the thought of dealing with clients' demands and stress. However, I, personally, cannot say that those are "Cons" which have affected my experience. The only minor inconvenience was working at WeWork for a certain period of time, and I did not enjoy their facility, or the fact that we were far from the chore office.

Advice to Management

Having clearer roles in regards to the support for employees may be helpful, especially in regard to facilitating initiative taking... However, other than that, I can only give my true (secular)... blessings to management and how they make this company work. I often feel pretty sour when looking at the state of *"Capitalism"* -- but It does feel like Bench is a beacon of light in the job market, offering satisfying work, where you get to keep your soul, make friends, learn a thing or two about bookkeeping, and where you deeply feel respected as an individual.
