What Employees Say
I have been working at MGM Resorts International full-time for more than 10 years
Great pay, good benefits. Free meals in employee cafeteria.
MGM corporate structure is ridiculously bloated and over complicated. They refuse to spend money on updating properties. More interested in expanding the empire than serving clientele and supporting... employees.
I worked at Konami Gaming, Inc. full-time for more than 3 years
It beats flipping burgers and making fries.
Toxic atmosphere. Constant bickering. Teamwork here means do what they say. Micromanaged to the umpteenth amount. Clicky groups exist and if you're not in then you might as well count on never going... anywhere here. Probably the biggest thing here is gossiping. Separate departments gossip about other departments big time here spreading division. Within departments people gossip at all levels from managers on down. With gossiping there is division, and with division there is no unity, and where there is no unity, there is no cohesiveness, and where there is no cohesiveness, there are cracks, and where there are cracks, it eventually breaks. Seriously, the company handbook is worthless with all of that going on. Hiring more managers only adds layers of ambiguity and know close to nothing what really goes on. Seriously, do you need a manager that manages another manager that manages another manager on top of a project lead as well as gossip? Okay. if that's the way it is so be it.
Advice to Management
No point because if a company is like this after decades, nothing will change. Think about that. It would be like trying to change the direction of a country and a company is not a democracy.
