Current Employee - Employee

I have been working at Jaro Education full-time for less than a year

Pros

: It has been almost a year since I started working with Jaro Education. My job here is my first job ever. This company invested its trust in a fresher like me, and for this I am really very thankful... to the management. The work conditions here are really good. Office environment is stress free. Salary offered to employees is also good. All in all, Jaro Education offers a perfect opportunity to enter the education sector to talented people.

Cons

Short lunch break. It could have been longer

Advice to Management

No major issues apart from lunch break.

Current Employee - Academic Associate

I have been working at upGrad full-time for less than a year

Pros

1. upGrad as a company is a good place to work with, provided you are in the correct team. 2. Benefits are good if you are from IIT/BITS (skills wont matter if you have brand)

Cons

1. AAs are treated like wage labourers in a factory. 2. Managers & senior managers have their own groupism internally. AAs are not treated with respect at all in the teams. 3. Promotions are... done secretly and not announced to the team, because they are done totally on "favouritism" basis. 4. People with 1 yr total work exp are made as managers, leading to absolute zero coaching & learning for subordinates. 5. senior managers are not ready to take any feedback against managers (their subordinates), leaving the AA section to do only as told. 6. Zero disciplinary measures from senior managers if delivery managers behave rudely, in totally unprofessional manners.

Advice to Management

1. Please audit what goes on in manager & senior manager level in delivery team. 2. Do not believe in the painted picture given by Senior managers, AD to you. 3. Most of the time, senior... managers & managers do not do their jobs and show as if it is an issue with grass root level. Maybe these are the reasons why NPS of delivery team in upgrad is one of the lowest in the whole organisation.
