I have been working at Flipp full-time for more than a year
I waited for over a year before leaving a review to ensure this is not affected by the "honeymoon" period of joining a new company. I am pleased to share (and coincidentally on Canadian Thanksgiving... weekend) that the positive impressions I got from the interview process, to the first three months, to now, have only been reinforced over time. Flipp is a unique company, starting with the culture of "other-centeredness" that has been at the core from the founders of Flipp and is still being practiced (not just talked about) every day. Flipp is also a welcoming and non-political environment. It is refreshing to not have to do numerous "pre-meetings" to sort out challenges 1:1 before going into an exec review, the discussions are great, and ideas are challenged, but it is always done with a view of how to improve the idea - whether it is for our shoppers, for our merchants or for Flipp itself. Our people are amazing, talented in not only their technical skills, but also in working cross-functionally to achieve shared goals. "We work best when we work as one Flipp team" is something you hear often in company Big Scrums and it is a 100% true and authentic. It is always great that when you are stuck at any point in time all it takes is a quick chat with someone in the hallway (or on Slack now) to help look at the problem differently and come up with optionality. Love the people, our teams, and the interesting and challenging problems we can solve together to help shoppers provide for their family by making life more affordable.
It is not a downside, but given the external environment that we and our customers face, change is truly the only constant. So you do need to be able to understand the rationale for change and adapt... quickly to take advantage of opportunities to improve as a team and as a company.

We’re trying to make government services simple, effective, and accessible for everyone. That’s not at all easy, but the company is working hard to make that vision real.
Working with government can be challenging.
