well established and industry-leading processes in place for people development and standardization of salary etc
too much emphasis on soft-skills in some units. agree that soft-skill is important but that depends on the job. as a result lot of managers dont have clue on technical and get bought into snake oil,... and promotes the same and the people who bring them vs people who know the technical stuff or details.
Advice to Management
improve technical focus in R&D for leaders. agree soft-skill is important right now you are at 90% softskill, 10 on technical/domain competency in some units. for above mid-level managers. reorg... in a fashion that ensures competency based units than random pieces stitched together. keep up the focus on people leadership development.
