Implementation Consultant

I worked at Charles River Development for more than a year

Pros

Great product (CRIMS), OK employee training. Unbeatable work-life balance as work-from-home is greatly encouraged (for the Canada-based employees) Folks in Product Development are highly experienced..., great wealth of industry knowledge.

Cons

Poor management structure. Unreasonably high emphasis on 'billables' creates an environment where everyone is out for themselves, no team atmosphere. Lack of commitment to fix-and-improve things.

Advice to Management

Work with employees to make a more pleasant work environment, work towards a more dynamic structure and treat people with respect.

Current Employee - Consulting Associate

I have been working at Charles River Associates full-time for more than a year

Pros

Over CRA is a fantastic place to work. Excellent opportunities to move up for junior staff and the opportunity to work with extremely intelligent coworkers, from across the world. Also get the... opportunity to work directly with expert witnesses, world class professors, and clients. Senior management provides great mentorship and actually want you to enjoy the work you do every day.

Cons

Work life balance can be tough at the beginning but you learn how to better manage your time as you progress.
